Located at Baronnie de Bourgade, a Languedocian winery and Château, large and spacious holiday accommodation for 4 people. A brand newly converted loft, roomy and cheerful with a very private terrace and view over the vineyards.

The loft is part of one of the main winery buildings - on the left of the photo above, and shares the main courtyard.
This property is part of large domain which can accommodate groups of up to 28 people.

Accommodation comprises a large and spacious sitting / dining room with breakfast bar / kitchen, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, separate WC.

The floors are original terracotta Languedocian tiles. The kitchen has been specifically designed for all cooks and chefs to have fun. On a central island there's a gas cooker (4 rings) and oven, plus dishwasher, microwave, big fridge, deep freeze, and washing machine.

 

   


French windows in the sitting room also lead the very private open-air terrace, where you can relax and enjoy the morning sun filtering through the pine trees and vineyards.

French windows in bedrooms (the double bedroom is shown below) lead onto a delightful open-air terrace. The terrace has teak flooring and chic garden furniture plus barbecue - a "must" for holiday suppers.

 

 

  

 

 

 

  


The grounds are extensive and all your's to enjoy . Take a dip or sunbathe by the swimming pool.

The pool is shared with another similiar cottage and small apartment. It is enclosed and surrounded by Mediterranean plants and flowers plus a lawn. Sun beds and parasols are provided.


 

 

Bourgade is surrounded by 150 hectares of woodland, fields and vineyards - our nature reserve! See how many wild birds and animals you can spot!

We have mountain bike trails and nature walks that you can follow and mountain bikes are available for hire.

Next door is Béziers' 18 hole Golf Course "Saint Thomas" where we can offer you a reduction of green fees. A riding school, tennis and sqash courts are within easy distance.

 


 
   


From the AutoRoute at Beziers, the old walled city of Cacasonne is quickly reached, as is the aqueduct of the Pont du Gard, the amphitheatre at Nimes and the Spanish border. There are many attractions such as Le Train Jaune at Villefranche-de-Conflet with spectacular views.

 

There is also the chance to sample the many wines which Languedoc produces and has produced for many years., which are only now coming to the attention of the wine circles in England.
   

Sandy beaches are a short distance from Bourgade: Portiragnes, Valras, Marseillan and Sete. The water is shallow for several metres and safe for young children.

Cap d'Agde (right) on the Mediterranean is a host to yachts and boats with a magnificent port, cafés and restaurants, night clubs, casino and every watersport imaginable. Marseillan port on the edge of the Bassan de Thau (sea lake) has retained much of its original charm and nearby Sete with its crisscrossed canals is known as "little Venice".

Helpful Information

Booking 'weeks' are Saturday 16.00 to Saturday 10.00. We ask that guests leave the accommodation before 10.00, and new guests arrive after 16.00. This allows time for our Cleaners to ensure a fresh start for new guests.

A washing machine is available for your use

The villa will be cleaned immediately after your visit. It certainly helps when guests leave the villa in a clean and tidy condition.

The Loft also has a log fire and gas central heating for the winter months
