- Kitchen:Well equipped Provencal-type open plan kitchen with dining area (up to 10), kids corner, and an additional pantry - all standard amenities like fridges, freezer, dishwasher, gas hobs, oven, kettle, toaster, coffeemaker, microwave etc. available
- Bedrooms: 1 triple room with single beds, two of them put together, one smaller twin room beds can be put together, a family type room - the 'Loft' - with 3 separate beds, lounge area and a staircase leading up to the mezzanine providing 2other single beds, put together
- Downstairs shower room with WC/washing machine and door leading outside to the washing lines; upstairs bathroom with large acrylic bathtub and fitted lavabo-sep. WC
- Other Rooms: Entrance hall with flagstones, wooden staircase and generous landing with enough storing place.

- Front garden with water feature, very agreeable to take breakfast or to come down to once it's getting too hot up the pool.
- Second garden above pool perfect for ball games and picking fruit - when in season. Enjoy olive, silk and pine trees as well as cypresses and a landscaped garden full of flowers
- Huge terrace around the pool - paved with white stone. Breakfast terrace in front of the house, plenty of garden space as you move your tables around.
- Pool available: 14 x 5.5 m, alarm, own access - sunloungers provided.
- Outside equipment: Close to the pool fitted BBQ in front of which large table and chairs, a second table and chairs under the Mediterranean pine trees
Parking:
- Private parking space for up to 3 cars in the back of the house. Enter the property through our wooden pergola to be greeted by the small water feature.

Plenty of space to roam around or to find your own private corner for book readings.
An 14 x 5.5 m pool is there to enjoy. Refresh yourself with the poolside shower before diving into the water.
A ping-pong table wants to be played upon and wandering around the garden may offer you pears, apples, cherries, figs, hazelnuts or other when in season. |

Melle is ideal for shopping with its 3 supermarkets and Aldi Discount - which is closest to us. There are silver mines, 3 roman churches, 1 motorcycle museum , a footpath leading around town etc. to visit. A horse riding centre is nearby.
Celles boasts a lovely abbey with its gardens, a supermarket on the outside, an artificial lake with plenty of amenities for children (entrance fee) within 15' drive from there. Both towns have a tourist office where you will get information about local events. For golfing, Niort is your next bet - this is a lovely bustling market town and well worth a visit. From there stretch on to the Marais Poitevin (Venise verte) to enjoy a boat ride (with or without guide) on the many water arms of the river 'Sevre'.
Niort (photo below left) is about a 20' drive and from there you are only about another 30' away from lovely medieval town La Rochelle (photo below right) with its 2 ports(old and new) a huge aquarium, plenty of (seafood) restaurants, 2 town beaches, a renaissance town house and boats that will take you to the various islands (Ile d'Aix, Ile d'Oleron, Ile de Re - this one can be joined via a long bridge against toll fee.

Atlantic coast with Royan (from there ferry boats cross over to the wine region of Medoc) - plenty of small affordable restaurants. Left of Royan St. Georges de Didonne - sweet little town square, long beach promenade with at the end tree hiking path. North of Royan - the zoo de la palmyre will delight all the family. La Coubre with its dunes is wonderful for sunbathing and enjoying the ocean (bring your own sun umbrella) it is a nature zone.
Why not go further to Ronce-les-Bains a typical French seaside resort. From there they oyster fields of Marennes are not too far away and you can savour them on the spot at one of the stands.

Bordeaux (photo of the main bridge right) is only about 2hrs from our property as are the vineyards of St. Emilion. Saintes and Cognac are each one hours drive away.
The Loire-valley chateaux, the Dordogne valley are a full days trip and recommended for adults with older children.
From Niort or St.Maixent or Poitiers, why not make it a daytrip to Paris - to get a first impression or to renew with the capital. All major sights are manageable within 5-6hrs.

Nearest low-cost airports are: La Rochelle and Poitiers (each about 1hrs driving) Limoges (count 1.5-2hrs) Bergerac, Tours, Nantes (approx. 2 hrs) International airports = Bordeaux and Nantes ( 2 - 2.5hrs)

To find us via Google please look up the hamlet of Negressauve (Verrines sous Celles) - as we are closer to Melle, we always indicate ALDI supermarket and will either meet you or then direct you from there - in order to avoid getting lost along merging country lanes.

The breakage deposit (of 400 € ) can be included in your bank transfer.

Prices are in euros and subject to change by the owner.
30% of total amount deposit 12 weeks prior to arrival via bank transfer in Euros to a continental bank. Balance due 6 weeks before arrival. Late bookings require a one down payment.. Refunds only on deposit.
Should payments not arrive in time - we reserve the right to attribute the period to a fellow holidaymaker - but not without first referring back to you.

Note our 5% discount when booking two weeks, on the lower priced week. Ask for special deals as from 3 weeks or during autumn/winter/spring.
