The apartment is located in a quiet courtyard with access to a shared terrace, beautiful mountain views and BBQ.

Sparkling river water holes a short drive or 20 minute walk, canyoning in river gorges. Near the GR20 route, and beautiful walks for all levels of ability: from strenuous hikes to rambling walks through the village, past traditional ovens, chestnut drying huts, water mill and picturesque hamlets.

Football stadium and tennis courts in the village. Local bakery, post office, charcutier, butcher/ grocery etc. Plus cafés (Pizzeria Copacabana, with pizzas direct from wood-buring ovens for the real taste, is shown below right), bars, tasty restaurants like L'Ustaria shown below left - try the obster with morels, or skewers of melon with St Jacques, Manzu ribs with wild mushrooms ... lots of traditional recipes prepared with regional products.

Bocognano is a great place to indulge your senses:
- walking in the maquis you can smell different herbs
- sitting by the river you can listen to the chuckling of the river and the wind in the trees
- sitting in one of the four restaurants or outside the wood fired bakery you can taste delicious local specialities: ewe's milk cheese, chestnut cake, charcuterie, onion pasties.

The bustling port town of Ajaccio is a 30 minute drive: shop at the farmers' market, wander around the old town streets, visit the craft shops and museums, have an ice cream on the port (photo of port shown below left), feast in the traditional restaurants, take in an outdoor/indoor concert of traditional Corsican music, visit Napoleon's house and grotto, take in views of the golfe (below right)...

Take the little mountain train up a vertiginous climb for a picnic in the scented pine forest of Vizzavona or stay on to the cultural centre of Corte. Take your pick of a wide selection of beaches with translucent water and fine golden sands. Relax on the beach or go scuba diving, jet skiing, parascending, water skiing or any other water sport that takes your fancy.

Tree top adventure park, turtle sanctuary with over 150 species, paint balling, horse riding only a 10-15 minute drive. Other attractions including the breathtaking cliff top citadel of Bonifacio, the historic town of Sartene , the prehistoric sites of Filitosa and Cucuruzzu and many more...
