Externally the cottages share the 30ft x 20 ft solar heated swimming pool (now fenced and alarmed) with sun-trap patio equipped with pool-side furniture. The gardens surrounding the properties are attractive and well stocked, with the added interest of an original Breton bread oven.

The extensive grounds provide ample space for the more boisterous activities (climbing frame, football goal badminton net etc.) Whilst retaining sufficient space for quiet relaxation and contemplation.

Guest can enjoy a quiet game of boules, try their luck fishing in the lake (reached directly from our grounds) or take a gentle stroll round the lake. For our younger guests the lake also has a small beach and childrens' play area.

Driving is a pleasure on wonderfully quiet country roads which wind through beautiful tree lined valleys and sleepy villages. This is a fantastic area for cycling, rambling and bird watching. It is an artist s paradise with wonderful light and a painting every time you turn around.

With so many coastlines, many leisure activities are focused on the water: sailing, surfing, canoeing, rowing, and sand yachting. For history fans, there are megaliths, château, museums, and medieval towns, while food lovers will enjoy Breton cuisine, known for its legendary seafood, artichokes, lamb, and crêpes.

Locally we can offer Horse riding that is less than 10 min's away and a superb 9 hole golf course about 25 min's away, Quad Biking and the famous Lac de Guerledan with all manner of water sports and boat trips is 20 minutes away. The Nantes Brest canal is 15 minutes drive. The picturesque Gulf de Morbihan (the Ile-aux-moins is shown below left) is than an hour away, as are the historic towns of Anray, Vannes (photo below right), Quimper and Josselin.

We are centrally located about 40mins to the west and north coasts, there un spoilt sandy beaches, and various attractions. Choices of beautiful south coast beaches are 40 min's away Quimper and Concarneau are of just two.

The atmospheric forest of Huelgoat (part of the Arthurian legend) the medieval forest of Merlin the Magician, where the Knights of the Round Table searched for the Holy Grail can be found 45 min's to the north.

The photo right, shows the Huelgoat Chaos mill, where massive sculptured boudlers can be seen.
