Our B&B La Jolie Maison is situated in the centre of a charming village in the popular and picturesque South Vendee.
We offer 4 double rooms (1 twin) all with private w/c and showers.
Our disabled friendly Gîte, Le Carabi, is also in our B&B grounds and sleeps up to 5 people (1-2 wheelchair users if sharing)

We can also offer you Evening Meals, when our dining room at La Jolie Maison is serving, at very competitive rates. We try to cater for most diets, vegetarians welcome. please ask for further details when sending your booking enquiry

Our village, Le Langon, has a Chemist, a little village store, a bakers, Bar and Café , Post Office, all within a few minutes walk.
For larger shops, supermarkets you will find them at the renaissance town of Fontenay le Comte (market stalls below left, town centre photo right), only 15 minutes drive away. Market day there on a Saturday Morning.
Fishing all around us, Horse riding is only 10 minutes drive away. There are also loads of wonderful cycle & walking tracks all close at hand.

The Vendee is one of France's top holiday resorts, so there are so many places to visit! among some of the high lights are: The famous re-enactment Park, The Puy du Fou, is only a short drive away, where you can go back in time to see a Jousting Knight, or a Fighting Gladiator (photo below left), plus much, much more.
Le Langon borders onto Charente Maritime. There you will find the beautiful large French holidays town of La Rochelle, with it's French culture ancient towers that have guarded the old port for many centuries (photo below right), surrounded by many restaurants, nestling around it's walls, giving you the chance to absorb the wonderful ambience over a meal and a bottle (or two!) of 'le vin'
We are only 45 minutes drive from the fantastic Vendee beaches, where you can surf, body board or simply relax in the gorgeous sunshine!

Price includes all utilities.
Linen included in tariff, including towels, but not Beach or pool towels. These can by hired from owner.

Usually, no pets, other than guide dogs, but does depend on size of dog.
The gîte and B&B are both No smoking, but we do allow smoking in the grounds and terraces.
|
|
|
|
For the gîte we ask for 20% deposit, then full balance 8 weeks before arrival date.
Sterling is accepted.
We ask for a separate cheque of £100 for a damage deposit, which will be refunded subject to conditions.
