Even though in a quiet location it is only 7 minutes drive into Bourganeuf (photos below), a historic town with cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and a weekly market.

The nearest hamlet - St Dizier Leyrenne is only 2 minutes drive away where you can get milk, bread and small provisions

The best of both worlds, either relax and unwind or jump in the car and visit an array of historic villages, public gardens and parks, châteaux and churches, many have published guides showing several places of interest for you to make the most of your visit.

Also within 40 minutes you have the capital of Limousin - Limoges (photo below left) and the capital of the Creuse area - Guéret both with interesting architecture, museums, markets, restaurants and famous wares, Lake Vassivere (photo below right). On the way to these places are an array of small historic villages and hamlets. Within 45 minutes you can visit the Wolf Park in the Monts de Guéret.
