18th century renovated farmhouse set in a quiet farming hamlet


18th century renovated farmhouse set in an acre of gardens, welcomes you to come and enjoy the Anjou region with its many attractions. We are situated in a small and peaceful farming hamlet with views of the open countryside.

The gîte is very spacious and fully equipped to provide all the home comforts to ensure that our guests can enjoy that well earned holiday.

The gîte is equipped with SAT TV (English), DVD'S, books, games and a games console with separate TV.

Our veggie garden offers plenty of fresh produce for our guests to enjoy and our chickens are pleased to supply daily fresh eggs. There are four adult and children bikes for our guests to use during their stay.

The farmhouse is set in an acre of grounds. Views of the open countryside can be enjoyed from the terrace area.

The enclosed grassed garden provides plenty of activities and space for children to burn of that excess area.



 

 


Montreuil Bellay a charming historic village with its chateau, river "Thouet" and charming streets to explore with old houses and historic monuments is just 3km from our farmhouse. Photos of the château and the Thouet river are shown below. Montrueil Bellay is a well serviced village with two supermarkets, banks, butchers, bakers, newsagents, doctors, pharmacies. During the summer months there is an outside swimming pool, canoeing, pedalo's.



 



 

 


We are conveniently situated for visiting the majority of the major attractions that the Loire has to offer. Within 20 minutes from the gîte are the lovely historic towns of Saumur (photo below left), Thouars, Doue La Fontaine (one of the zoo's African giraffes shown below), Montsereu & Chinon. At Doue-La Fontaine you will discover one of Europe’s top zoos. We are surrounded by chateaux, vineyards and open country side.

Price includes all utilities, bed linen, towels, tea towels and use of bikes during stay.
Children of all ages are welcome
Gîte is equipped with a cot, high chair and children’s cutlery.

For the 2009 season we are offering an early bird discount of 10% for all bookings of one week or more gîtes hire.

Long terms rents available in the low season.
