Bessin, Les Gîtes Champetres are located on the edge of the
quiet village of Sainteny.
Les Gîtes Champêtres comprise of two 2 properties –
4 bedroom ‘ Chestnut Cottage ‘ and 5 bedroom ‘Walnut
Cottage’, and are set within the 2 acre grounds of the owners
home.
A friendly but discreet service is assured.

The property has its own patio area which opens out into
extensive open gardens. The gardens fully
enclosed and gated. There is ample garden furniture and
a large barbecue, and for children there are swings, slides,
sandpits, paddling pools, a trampoline and other outdoor
toys available – football, badminton, boules etc.

Our village of Sainteny (memorial photo
below left) has great facilities all within a few minutes
walk. At the centre of the village is the Bar / Tabac, Pharmacy
(with English speaking pharmacists) and the beautiful St
Pierre Church (photo below right). At the top of
the village we have the Boulangerie / Patisserie, Boucherie
/ Charcuterie, Village Shop (including La Poste facilities),
Restaurant / Bar, Hairdressers, Garage and a new Doctor's
surgery - all within walking distance from your accommodation.

Our nearest town is historic Carentan which
is 10 km from Sainteny with several supermarkets, banks,
shops, cinema, railway station (route to Paris) and a popular
market held every Monday.
Les Gîtes Champetres has easy access to numerous places
of interest such as the Normandy Landing Beaches,
Bayeux with its famous Tapestry (photo below left),
the seaside town of Granville and a little further afield
the magnificent Le Mont St. Michel (photo
below right). The city of Caen
is only 1 hour away and has excellent shopping facilities
as well as other historic places to visit. Paris is only
a two hour train ride away, making an interesting day out.
From Football to Fishing, Golf to Cycling, most, if not
all sports activities are available within a short drive
from the gîtes.

Cherbourg (45 mins), Caen / Ouistreham (1 hour) or Le Havre
(2 hours)

| Routes:
Les Gîtes Champêtres are within easy driving distance
from the ports of Cherbourg (45 mins), Caen / Ouistreham (1
hour) or Le Havre (2 hours). The main route to our nearest
town of Carentan from these ports is the N13, from Carentan,
take the D971 to Sainteny. If you prefer to fly, the nearest
airports are Dinard and Rennes.

The
rental period is from Saturday to Saturday, with arrival from
4pm.and departure by 10 am.
We offer a 10% discount when 2 or more weeks are booked
at the same time.
For larger parties, we offer a 10% discount if both gîtes
(Ref 552 and Ref 553) are booked together for the same week.
|
The weekly rental price includes heating,
hot water and electricity.
No smoking allowed inside the property.
|
|
|
|
A
40% deposit is required to secure booking. Full payment to
be made 8 weeks before arrival.
There is a 100 € security deposit, refundable on departure.
