Modern south facing villa on the edge of Faugères with swimming pool featuring two individual suites (one with own lounge), overlooking the vineyards and countryside of the Natural Park of the "Haut Languedoc".

The emphasis is on quality accommodation with good food, service and wine providing a relaxing environment.

INTERIOR
  • Living area : Roussanne suite has its own dedicated lounge.
  • Kitchen: No cooking facilities within the suites.
  • Roussanne suite has bedroom with a king size bed (6 foot) which can be split to two singles if required.
  • Marsanne suite well appointed with standard double bed.
  • Each suite has its own en suite shower rooms with wash hand basins, WCs, hair dryers and towels.
  • Equipped pool house available for guests use with WC, stocked fridge, equipped kitchenette area with hot & cold water, glasses, crockery and cutlery for al fresco meals.

EXTERIOR
  • 1700 sq metres of garden to front and rear of property with shaded sitting areas.
  • Rear courtyard with shaded seating together with lounging and sitting areas around swimming pool.
  • 10 x 5 Metre in ground pool with solar shower and equipped pool house with WC etc.
  • BBQ, loungers, garden furniture together with table and seating.
  • Roussanne suite has its own garaging whilst there is private parking for Marsanne suite guests

Faugères (photos below) village centre within 5 minutes walk with limited facilities including general store, restaurant & bar . It is possible to hire the village tennis court by application to the village Marie (Town hall).

Within a short drive there are a choice of supermarkets and restaurants. Faugères is surrounded by beautiful countryside, rivers and lakes providing endless opportunities for the keen walker, those interested in water sports and fishing. Close by are equestrian centres at the disposal of beginners or experts.

The 9 hole golf course at Lamalou-les-Bains is also at your disposal set with a magnificent backdrop of hills and mountains. Lamalou also features a spa centre together with a casino.



 



 

 


For the more energetic mountain walking and climbing are possible options - photo of nearby Lac de Salagou below left) . But for complete relaxation head to the famous beaches of the Mediterranean just a 40 minute drive away.

Carcassonne the second most visited city in France is a fairy tale remnant of the Middle Ages with an intact walled city that is probably the highlight of the Languedoc (photo below right).

Montpellier is the principal city of the region blending the right mix of old and new. The city is well served by a fairly new tram system. Some of the smaller villages of the region are worthy of attention. Medieval Minerve and Romanesque St. Guillem-le-dessert are notable exceptions.

By Air:
The nearest airport recently opened is Béziers just 40 minutes drive away. Other airports within easy reach are Carcassonne, Montpellier, Perpignan and Nîmes. All within about one to one & half hours drive.


By Rail:


By Road:
Driving from the ferry ports in the north of France entails a 10 to 11 hour drive.

Routes:
Faugères is situated in the Herault (34) department of France within the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. The village is just 25 Kms. north of Béziers approximately equidistant between Montpellier and Narbonne.

Faugères is best accessed by taking the A75 autoroute southbound over the Massif Central and then following signs for Bedarieux and then for Béziers until signage for Faugères is sighted. Descend into the village and take the last turn on the left before exiting the village. Take the small lane for about 100 metres and then take a left up a steep drive. We are on the left.
