no other holidaymakers, guests are in an idyllic location,
to rest, relax in comfort and explore the captivating regions
of Southern Charente and the Dordogne.

Within walking distance, Saint Séverin offers every
convenience a holidaymaker would want, with a supermarket,
butchers, bakery, newsagents/tobacconist, doctor, dentist,
pharmacy, bank and hairdressers. Within the local area there
is a golf course and riding stables. The region abounds
with quiet lanes for cycling and walking.
Further afield, 7 Kms away, Aubeterre-sur-Dronne is ranked
by the French Tourist Authority as one of the most beautiful
villages in France and well-worth a visit for its famous
monolithic underground church (photo below left), craft
shops, riverside bathing beach and many restaurants. Across
the border with Dordogne, the small bustling town of Riberac
(photo below right) is just a short drive away with its
famous Friday open-air market.

| The surrounding area has
many interesting places to enjoy: the old quarter of both Perigueux
and Angouleme, also picturesque St. Emilion, the Bordeaux wine
region, Dordogne Valley, Royan Coast and Cognac Distilleries
(photo right) are all within easy reach. |

By Air:
The nearest airport is Angouleme which is 40 minutes
away, Bergerac, less than an hour.
|
By Rail:
There are fast trains from Paris to Angouleme of about 3.5
hours. Montmoreau is our nearest station, about 15 minutes
by car. Bordeaux is within easy reach by train taking less
than an hour.

By Road:
From Calais the journey by car, using motorways and avoiding
Paris, is about 7 hours, less from Le Havre.

The nearest motorway link is at Mussidan about 30 kms away.

pack and basic cleaning materials, although cleaning services
