The guesthouse (70m2 of living space) is situated at right angles
to the main house and has its own entrance and landing.
It has a walled private garden, where you can relax in the sun
or shade. But of course you can just as well enjoy the woodland
garden of the property. |

The property is situated on the border of Parc naturel du Vercors,
a region with steep rock cliffs, deep gorges, winding rivers
streams and waterfalls.
At 6 km is Beaufort-sur-Gervanne, with shops, a post office,
doctor and several small but good restaurants. At 20 km is Crest,
a city with supermarkets, a hospital and a swimming pool. The
Tower of Crest, shown in the photo below, is the highest keep
in France, and overlooks the town, keeping watch over one of
the few access routes to the Alps. |

This is a region to walk, hike and bird watching: here
you find still peace and quiet. The property is situated
in an area with trails; you can take Domaine “Les
Lançons” as a starting point for a lot of fabulous
walks.
Around 20 people live in Eygluy, a tiny village perched
on the mountains of the Drome Valley. Forgotten by man,
gods, and mobile-phone coverage, this French hamlet holds
on tight to a beloved heritage; lavender. Whatever happens,
Christian Guion, 48, shown in photos below, will not give
up on the flower fields started by his grandfather just
after Word War I, on the mountain slopes surrounding his
farm. It is a matter of faith, respect, and love, and with
a little help from organic labels, he has kept his purple-blue
lavender fields blooming until now.

In this region many producers are selling directly from
their farmhouses. You will find honey, goat and sheep cheese,
herb extracts, fruits, spices, wine etc., with many products
the result of biological cultivation.
During the summer you have many possibilities to visit
Antique and Flea markets; at Grane each 5th Sunday of the
month, or the night markets at Crest and Livron.
There are many artists and craftsmen who have settled in
the Drôme. Most open their studios to interested visitors
– well worth a visit. Also visit the ceramics potteries
at Cliousclat and Dieulefit - the photo below right shows
the workshop of Christian Bochaton and Françoise,
pottery makers, who have a shop in the middle of Dieulefit.
The Friday market in Dieulefit, photo below left, is also
worth a visit.
Numerous museums invite you, to get familiar with various
arts and cultures. Including some curiosities, as the Egg
Museum at Soyans, the Folkloric Museum of the Provence,
the Pottery Museum at Cliousclat, the museum Silk Manufactory
at Montboucher-sur-Jabron and the Museum of Coffeepots at
Livron.
