A fully equipped 3 bedroom cottage for 2 to 6 persons in the grounds
of the owners’ home, La Tuquette.
Set in open countryside, Le Logis provides an escape from the hustle
and bustle of cities whilst being within 3 minutes by car of restaurants,
boulangeries, bank, pharmacy and post office.
The holiday property comprises a good size open plan kitchen, dining
and sitting area, utility room, 3 bedrooms and bathroom.

The 2 acre grounds comprise a large garden with various
trees, flowers and a 10 x 5 metre covered swimming pool
with underwater lighting. The cover keeps the water +3°C
warmer than an open pool, thus extending the swimming season
by a month at beginning and end; on inclement days it is
possible to swim with the cover closed. Garden tables, sunshades
and BBQ are provided plus boules, quilles and badminton.
Set in open countryside, Le Logis provides an escape from
the hustle and bustle of cities whilst being within 3 minutes
by car of restaurants, boulangeries, bank, pharmacy and
post office. English papers are normally available in Marciac
within 24 hrs.

Marciac, although only a village of 1300 people is Internationally
famous for its Jazz festival during the first two weeks
in August (photo below), and monthly concerts off season;
The local jazz museum is exceptionally well presented.

|
There are many gift shops in
Marciac plus the weekly market. The lake nearby has a swimming
pool with water slide, fitness trail, boats and pedaloes for
hire, fishing plus restaurant and café.
Walks in the area are a delight with views of the Pyrenees appearing
at every turn. Restaurants, Bastide medieval villages, golf
and wine chateaux all within easy reach. |

The Pyrenees with wonderful walking areas and skiing in
winter are within 90 mins. Including trips over the border
into Spain. Mirande with its market, shops, restaurants
and Country Music Festival is only 20 mins by car.
Pau is just an hour away, with Ryanair flights, large shops
and wonderful floral displays – Pau has not been allowed
to enter the best floral town competition after winning
it for 10 years on the run! The Château Henri IV in
Pau is shown below.

Auch, the capital of the Gers
department is just 40minutes away with its magnificent Cathedral,
markets shops and real Gascon atmosphere.
Biarritz and the Atlantic coast are just 2 hours away, with
wonderful seafood, sandy beaches and shops. There are many lakes
within half an hour with sandy shores for swimming.

Pau Pyrenees - one hour - via Ryanair,
Transavia (Amsterdam)
Toulouse via Auch 105mins - BA, Easy jet, Flybe.
By Sea:
Calais - 10 hours driving time via A10 or A20
St. Malo, Le Havre 6 hours driving time via A10
Santander 6 hours driving time via Biarritz.
By Road:
From A20 come off at Montauban follow through to
N134, then Auch, Mirande, turn off at Marciac sign via Tillac into
Marciac. Turn left at Petrol Station, 300metres turn right past
Gendarmerie.

Turn left at junction, left at Villecomtal, Tarbes sign
and Le Logis à Tuquette is 800metres up the hill
on the left.
From A10 come off near Bordeaux and follow
sins to Aire sur L'Adour, then via Plaisance, by pass Riscle
into Marciac past Lake. Turn left at old petrol station,
follow road round to junction turn right direction Tarbes,
then left at junction marked Villecomtal, Tarbes - Le logis
à Tuquette is 800 metres uphill on left.

over days normally Saturday in peak season, but can be flexible
off season.
Arrival times 4pm, departure 10am.
Bed linen and towels are included in the price

chair and cot available – no charge for children in
cots.
All linen, towels and utilities included.
No pets please and no smoking.

Prices
£300 per couple per week ALL YEAR plus £75 per
person in addition - except during JAZZ FESTIVAL first two
weeks in August.
25% deposit required to confirm bookings, cheque for £100
will be held against breakages – not cashed in event
of no breakages.
