Our 3 newly converted gîtes
which are ideal as individual units or for a larger family group
are situated in Villejoubert a peaceful rural village yet only 3
minutes drive from a supermarket and 20 minutes from the historic
town of Angoulême.
The village is surrounded by forests and fields of sunflowers and
corn which are perfect for walking, cycling, bird watching and relaxing.
We are centrally located for many places of interest including Cognac,
La Rochelle, Poitiers and Royan.

walled garden, Les Hirondelles is an ideal gite for couples
seeking privacy. French doors from the garden lead to a bright
lounge with sofa bed and 2 chairs. Satellite TV and CD player.

bedroom with beamed ceiling and exposed stone walls has large

Saint-Amant-de-Boixe - which is 3 minutes away by car has
a supermarket, pharmacy and bakers (we do have a bread delivery to
the door every day except Sunday)

Mansle - has several supermarkets, restaurants and
shops also kayaking and quad biking and is about 10 minutes drive
away.
Angouleme - the capital of the Charente (photo right)
has many places of architectural, historic and artistic interest.
Plenty of shops and restaurants.

Poitiers- Futuroscope at Poitiers is a
science theme park with virtual and futuristic attractions,
3D cinemas and simulator rides.20 minutes from Futuroscope
is Les Geants du Ciel a bird park with over 40 different
species and more than 100 birds.
Romagne – La Vallee des Singes- A
lovely day out for adults and children, visit the350 monkeys
who live in a natural setting..
Royan- For those who love beautiful sandy
beaches Royan is a must (photo below left). On the outskirts
of Royan you will find La Palmyre zoo which has more than
1,500 animals from all 5 continents.
Cognac- Try one of the tours around the
cognac producers which explain the production, distillation,
aging and blending process. The Hennessy tour starts with
a short boat ride and ends with a cognac tasting session.
La Rochelle- Visit one of the many museums
and historic old buildings or simply enjoy a stroll along
the quayside of the Old Harbour (photo below right) where
boat trips can be arranged. La Rochelle Aquarium has 10,000
Atlantic, Mediterranean and tropical species.

Out of high season we can offer B & B in your gite for
£40.00 per couple per night, maximum stay 3 nights.

Prices are per week per gite and include, gas, electricity,
bed linen and towels.
A deposit of 25 % is required at the
time of booking, with the balance plus a £50 breakage
deposit due 8 weeks before rental period.
