Corsica is a walker's paradise with many great footpaths
either going direct from our property or a short drive away.
Also in the region are opportunities to go horse riding,
climbing, canyoning, mountain biking, off-road driving,
sailing, windsurfing, jet skiiing and motorboating.
Other attractions in the south of Corsica include the stunning
clifftop citadel of Bonifacio, photo below left, with the
harbour below right, the imposing town of Sartene, the A
Cupulatta tortoise sanctuary with over 150 species and the
intriguing prehistoric sites at Filitosa and Cucuruzzu.
Being part of France, it goes without saying that the food
and wine in Corsica is particularly good and regional specialities
such as ewe's milk cheese, chestnut flour, charcuterie,
olive oil and local beef, lamb and pork form the basis of
many restaurant menus.
