La Celeste - a former domaine house set in vineyards with pool

La Celeste is a spacious property in a rural setting of the Minervois wine growing region. Set in the heart of the surrounding vineyards, it offers spectacular views of the Montagne Noir to the north and the Corbière Massif to the south.

The mix of terrain and waterways result in diverse flowers; plants; plenty of birds and wildlife. The house is well situated for visiting the sites of this magnificent region, where you will find the ancient city of Carcassonne; the Canal du Midi; the Cathar Castles; the Abbeys; the Roman churches; mediaeval villages and more.

La Celeste is situated on a winding country lane leading out of the village of Marseillette, The area has the distinction of having the famous Canal du Midi (now listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site) running through one side of the village.

From the house you can walk or cycle along the banks of the canal, through the vineyards and countryside that surrounds the house, discover friendly wine producers, taste local produce from the Corbières and Black mountain regions or simply relax by the pool.

The house is within walking distance of the village where you will find a boulangerie; restaurant and friendly bar. Nearby in Trèbe, there are numerous shops, 2 supermarkets and tourist office. Several restaurants situated on the banks of the Canal offer an ideal place to relax and watch the boats.

The fabulous medieval city of Carcassonne (photo above), which is the only fortified town in Europe still inhabited, is 17km away. Here you can relive 2500 years of history. On Saturdays there is a bustling market in the town square. There is also an excellent golf club, which welcomes visiting players.


 

 


The Mediterranean is situated 45 minutes drive away. Along this stretch of 20 km of beaches you can locate Narbonne Plage; Sête; Mèze and savour the typically French lifestyle with many cafes and seafood restaurants.

Changeover day is Saturday, but some flexibility off peak. We request that you vacate by 10am. For new arrivals, the house is available from 4pm.

All rental rates are inclusive of towels and linen. Please supply your own pool/beach towel.

La Celeste is a no smoking property.

Pets are not allowed.

Prices

A 25% deposit is required within 7 days of making a provisional booking.The balance is due 8 weeks prior to rental.

A £350 security deposit is also required with the balance. This will be refunded on completion of an inventory.
