Our home is a newly renovated old station building in a protected
zone. Situated on the outskirts of the small town of Ernee, we are
5 minutes from the town centre in one direction, while a couple
of minutes walk in the other takes you into the French countryside.
In our main house we have 3 double bedded rooms providing B&B
while next door we have converted the upper floor of the former
workshop into a spacious self-catering apartment capable of sleeping
4 people.

Formerly a barn and hayloft, we have completely renovated
the top floor of the two storey building into a comfortable
apartment capable of sleeping 4 people.
From the unique entrance, to the shutters which were previously
barn doors, to the exposed beams, we have retained many
of the features and incorporated them into a light and spacious
apartment.
The large open-plan living/dining room
has a sofa bed for two people, together with a TV and DVD
player for which we have a selection of films. Heating is
by a free-standing gas heater for which fuel is supplied.
Leading off from the living room is the kitchen
equipped with cooker, fridge and microwave. It is fully-equipped
for self-catering, but there are plenty of restaurants and
eateries in the town if you want to eat out. The
bathroom, besides the wc and washbasin, boasts
a large shower cubicle and extractor fan.
Last, but not least, is the double bedroom
with hanging space and storage, which is situated at the
back of the apartment.
Gas and electricity are included in the price, as are towels,
tea-towels and bedlinen. A travel cot and highchair are
also available if required. Please feel free to join us
in our small garden in the evenings (weather permitting),
and also use our barbecue if you wish. The owners are on
site and a continental breakfast can be provided in our
B&B if required for a small charge (to be ordered the

Bedroom 1 : This bedroom contains a double
bed with a private washbasin and wc. Prices are from €40
per room per night.
Bedroom 2: Bedroom 2 contains a double
bed with an en-suite shower, washbasin and wc. Prices are
from €45 per room per night.
Bedroom 3: The third room contains a double
bed with a en-suite shower, washbasin and wc. Prices are
from €45 per room per night.
Meals
Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in all the
rooms together with all bed linen and towels. All prices
include a continental breakfast served in the family dining
room.

Ernee is a typical historic French market town as yet undiscovered
by the English tourists. Just over the border from Brittany,
we are only about an hours drive from the beautiful beaches
of the Emerald Coast, and also an ideal stopover point for
travellers to the West coast or southern France.
Ernée has a choice of supermarkets for basic provisions,
together with an abundance of patisseries, boulangeries
and other small French traditional shops. The local market
is held on a Tuesday morning. There are plenty of places
to eat out in the town, all reasonably priced, and welcome
families and children. Most can speak a little English so
if your French isn't too good, no problem.

|
As with most French towns and villages, Ernée has
its own lake. Fishing permits can be purchased from various
shops and tabacs for a very low cost. In the town itself
there is a heated swimming pool which is open to the public.
There is also a park with various amusements, including
a crazy golf course and BMX track, children's adventure
course in the woods, as well as the usual climbing frames,
swings, etc.
The local motocross track holds various events throughout
the year, and there are also various places of historical
and cultural interest such as the dolmens and menhirs of
the region, local sculptures and fine examples of traditional
French architecture. You can also visit local farms and
sample the local ciders, dairy products and meats.

Mont-Saint-Michel (photo right): There are many things to see
and to do; the main street with its shops, the museums, the
walk around the ramparts with views out over the sands of the
bay, as well as the spectacle of the sea rushing in to surround
the Mont at each high tide.
La Foret de Villecartier: A miniature port has been fitted
out with boats and pedaloes for hire. A 3km adventure course
opened in July 2005 in the trees. There is also a quiet fishing
lake just a short walk through the trees.

L'Ange Michel Leisure Park: With more than 30 attractions
there is something for everyone including aquatics, adventure,
history and culture, and even a snack bar.
There are also the usual museums, chateaux and even troglodyte
caves for those keen to explore and discover the area.

Airports, road & rail
Both Rennes and Dinard airports are reasonably close (an
hour to an hour and a half driving time) and have regular flights
from budget airlines such as Ryanair and Flybe.
If you need to hire a vehicle during your stay, this can be arranged
at either airport with some of the most well known hire companies.
From St Malo to Dunkirk, ferry crossings are available at a time
to suit you. Prices vary from budget to luxury, depending on the
company and route.

Caen is the closest to us at just 2 hours drive whilst the
shortest crossing time is from Dover to Boulogne with Speedferries.
|
|
|
|
|
Apartment

Rentals
are from Saturday to Saturday for the apartment.
A security deposit of £100 is required as a separate payment--this
will be refunded in full unless unacceptable damage to building/
contents has occurred.
B&B is available by the night and includes a continental
breakfast.
