Les Glycines was originally a large
working farm where humans lived in one half of the house and animals
in the other with hay and corn being stored in the loft above! Over
the years it has been converted to a high standard retaining much
of the original charm and character but with the addition of all
the modern comforts!
Now like a Small Country House Hotel, it offers delightful bedrooms
(many with en-suite facilities) which are light, spacious and tastefully
decorated in soft colours to enhance the exposed beams.

Situated in an extremely peaceful and tranquil setting
on the edge of a small hamlet surrounded by fields of corn,
sunflowers and Parthenaise cattle being a breed of the region.
Only 5 minutes walk to the Château de Coudray-Salbart
- a well preserved 13thcentury fortress overlooking the
meandering Sèvres-Niortaise river and traditional
wash-house. Echire village, famous worldwide for it’s
butter, is just 5 minutes drive (2km) and offers a large
Super U supermarket, with bakery, fresh fish, delicatessen
and petrol forecourt, pharmacy, riding school/pony club.
