| As soon as you drive
up the cherry tree lined, lane, the spectacular view unfolds
before your eyes. A vast landscaped, panoramic garden, that
seems orchestrated.. just for you!
The cottage has been beautifully restored to maximise this
stunning south facing vista, and whether you are relaxing
in the lovely private garden or in the double glazed veranda,
or lounging in front of the television, lying in bed, or even
in the bath, there it is this feast, before you eyes!
And from the privacy of the cottage you can watch the ever
changing patchworks, the planting and harvests, the early
morning mists and shadows, the lakes, the huge moons and crystal
clear starry skies, the setting sun on the white stone houses
of Ste Alauzie hamlet, turning to burnished gold.
Free unlimited golf, swimming and tennis included in the price
with no hidden extras! Green fees are included for any 2 players
with club facilities for four. Initially it’s the golf
package that sparks the interest and the golf club is rather
special, and quite a tricky course, but it’s the location
that guests, never forget and return year after year! The

Situated 20 minutes drive south west of Cahors,
(the medieval capital of the Lot and famous for le Pont
Valentré, shown in the photo right), just south
of the Lot river, and the Cahors wine route between the villages
of Castelnau Montratier and Montcuq.
A beautiful region, unspoilt and quiet, made up of lush green
hills and valleys, small farms, and medieval hilltop villages.
Lovely white stone farmhouses dotted around with a colourful
patchwork of sunflowers, maize, melons, corn, lavender, linseed,
rape poppies and meadows of wild flowers. |

Wooded walks with wild orchids, honeysuckle, broom, ground
cover of wild rock plants, Mosses and Lichen, small truffle
oaks, wild herbs. Wild Boar, Deer, Hares, birds of prey,
Nightingales and many species of Butterflies.
“The gateway to the south” The area is generally
warmer and dryer (and south) of the Dordogne. The Lot Valley
has become one of the favourite destinations for the British
in recent years and if you’ve already been you’ll
know why. It’s immensely difficult to single out any
particular attraction created by nature in the Lot as taking
precedence over another, but most probably the jewels are:
St-Cirq-Lapopie and the Gouffre de Padirac. Both are in
the Parc Naturel Régional des Causses du Quercy which
sprawls through most of the area swallowing up nearly all
of the main sites.
