There is a fantastic roof terrace with panoramic views over the Etang du Thau to Sète.

Here, guests can relax in the sun and enjoy dining ‘al fresco’ at midday or during a pleasant sunny evening. There is a built-in Barbecue to really enjoy the outdoor way of life.

The views over the roof top are just great – the photo below right shows the view across the Etang and Mont St. Clair in Sète.

Marseillan, famed for its oysters and pink flamingos, is an ancient Mediterranean fishing village. Shops and bars are within walking distance as are the delights of the quayside restaurants serving local produce and superb Languedoc wines.

Marseillan, an historic fishing village located on the Etang du Thau founded by the Greeks in the 6th Century.

Also around the Etang are the quaint old villages of Meze and Bouzigue both interesting places to visit offering restaurants with views overlooking the Etang and of course their local markets.

The largest town with the Etang on one side and the Mediterranean sea on the other is Sète - shown right.

Sète is home to the largest tuna fishing fleet on the Mediterranean. Also known as the 'little Venice' of France with its canal system flowing through the town boasting it's large fishing vessels alongside the quays. Mont St. Clair in Sète is definitely worth the drive to the top were fabulous 360 degree breathtaking views await you.

Agde is an old town built from volcanic rock with the river Hérault running through it when it finally meets with sea at the Grau D'Agde. Béziers, historic Pézenas (photo left), St. Chinian, Roquebrun all wonderful places to capture true French style.

Montpellier is the principal city of the region, with the seat of local government housed in an impressive new building shown left. The city has the right mix of old and new. The old city contrasts with the new shopping centres of the Triangle and Polygone. The centre, Place de la Comedie, is packed with pavement bars and cafés, just right for watching the world go by.

The city is also well known for the outstanding new architecture of the Antigone, which reaches from the Place de Opéra - Comédie to the Regional building by the river and the Parliament building.
