The gite is set within the Perche
Regional Park, Lower Normandy, with surrounding views to the forest.
Forest View is in the Orne region of Lower Normandy. The gite is
in a small hamlet, with the nearest small town of Remalard 5 minutes
away, and a larger town of Nogent le Rotrou 15 minutes away.

The accommodation comprises of 3 twin bedded rooms, sleeping 6 people.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge, freezer, dishwasher,
microwave, cooker, kettle, toaster, all kitchen utensils and dining
table and chairs.
The living room of the gite has 2 sofa's, television, video and dvd
player.

The kitchen has views over the orchard at
Forest View, and the front of the gite over looks a gravelled courtyard.
Available for the gite is a patio table and chairs, parasol and BBQ.
Forest View is owned by an English family, and is set in 10 acres.

The 10 acres - includes a 1.5 acre lake, stocked with a variety
of fish - Carp, Perch, Roach, Rudd and Gudgeon. The fish range
in size from small roach to 15lb carp. However there may be
larger carp waiting to be caught!
If you have never fished before we have a selection of fishing
equipment for hire at a small charge.

Also available on site is painting workshops, for both beginners
and Intermediates. Karen, is an English qualified art teacher,
and she has taught art for 7 years in England.
She uses the popular step by step teaching method. The workshops
incorporate different mediums, i.e. Watercolour, Acrylic
and Pastels. Workshops will take place either in the studio
or out in the surrounding scenic countryside. Equipment
can be provided, if you do not have any of your own.
The area is also popular with cyclists, bird watchers and
nature lovers, due to the closeness to the forest.

Forest View is approximately 5 minutes
by car to the nearest town which is called Remalard. It is
a nice small French town offering shops, bars, restaurants
and also a nice little supermarket. The nearest large town
is Nogent-le-Rotrou, which is 15-20 minutes drive from Forest
View. The town has some very nice old buildings to explore,
and also more shops and larger supermarkets. There are also
many small hamlets and villages for you to explore.
The photo below right is the
Notre-Dame de Montligeon which is in a lovely village called
La Chapelle Montligeon, which is approximately 15 minutes
away from Forest View.

We are within easy driving distance (approx 50 mins) of
Le Mans and the famous race circuit. Booking
your accommodation with us will certainly be less stressful
than trying to find somewhere in Le Mans.
For more of a challenge you will find Paris approximately
an hour and a half away from Forest View. On the east side
of Paris you will find Euro Disney (Disneyland Paris), which
is approximately 2 hours from Forest View, but the travelling
is well worth it.

St Malo - 181 miles
The cheapest ferry crossing at the present time is Dover to
Boulogne (Speed Ferries) the next cheapest is Dover to Calais,
P&O or seafrance.
The nearest airport with flights from England is Paris, the
airport is approximately 2.5 hours away from Forest View.

| If a booking
is made, to confirm the chosen week(s) a deposit of 25% of
the full amount will need to be paid. If you are making a
booking within 6 weeks of the commencement of your holiday
the full amount will need to be paid.
Painting Workshops : 20 € (£15) / workshop.
The workshops include paper and equipment if required. 10am
- 4pm including a light lunch with wine.

Once your deposit
has been recieved, the balance payment is due 6 weeks before
the commencement date of your holiday.
Towels and tea towels are not provided, but we can offer to
supply the bed linen at a cost of €20 (£15) per
week for the gite, (sheets and pillow cases).

The price shown is the total rental for the week, NOT per
person.
Pets are welcome at £15 per week. (A discount will be
given if there is more than one pet).
Price includes electricity and end of holiday cleaning.
All Euro prices are based on the exchange rate of 1.4 €
= £1.00 |
