A lovely family farmhouse in a rural
village called Cipieres, about one hour from Nice. The house is an
old stone bergerie, with 100m2 of living space with two bedrooms,
one bathroom and a lovely garden overlooking the village and mountains.
The house is just 5 mns walk from the village center. The village
is located in a wonderful rural environment, close to a famous paragliding
area. You can do paragliding, hiking, swimming, climbing, walks in
the forest etc...

Perched high on a rocky ridge above the Gorges du Loup,
overlooked by the imposing Château de Cipieres and
commanding an impressive view of Mt Cheiron, Cipieres village
is one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the region.
Provençal in colour, architecture and culture and
almost untouched by modern life Cipieres offers the visitor
a chance to glimpse traditional Provençal village
life.

| Wander the narrow streets,
shaded by the high walls from the hot summer sun, visit the
Chapelle St Claude (XVII siecle) and the Saint Mayeul church
(XVI and XVII siecle) with its beautiful bell tower and campanile,
or just bask in the sunshine with a cool drink at the village
café and you'll understand exactly why Cipieres is
such a special place.
Cipières is also a famous hiking area with 57 official
walking paths criss-crossing the many acres of open countryside
that surround the village.

| Wild herbs grow in abundance,
lavender flowers every summer and the area is a haven for
wildlife with wild boar and deer living close by in great
numbers.
Isolated from the main roads this beautiful village makes
an ideal place to relax and absorb the beauty of your surroundings.

| The location of Cipières
is unique, only 45 kms from the Riviera beaches, and yet only
a twenty minute drive from the local ski station! Furthermore,
due to its setting, close to the warming sea breezes, and protected
by the foothills of the Alps and the mountains of Provence to
the West, the area enjoys a 'micro climate', assuring over 300
days of sunshine every year. The
location is renowned as one of the best paragliding sites
in Europe, but the following activities are also available
in the region:

Rock-climbing, hill-walking, canyoning, pot-holing, horse
riding and pony trekking, hang-gliding, archery and all those
pursuits associated with a landscape of such beauty (e.g.
outdoor painting, photography or simply enjoying the views,
glass in hand, from our South-facing terrace).

Cipières is 45mns from Nice Airport and one hour from Cannes
. To find the village when coming from Nice airport, you should go
through Cagnes sur Mer , La colle sur Loup, then take the direction
Pont du Loup, and then follow the spectacular Gorges du Loup towards
Greolieres. Follow the signposts to Cipieres village.
It is also possible to approach Cipieres via the famous perched village
of Gourdon from where you should take the Cipieres / Greolieres road.

| Booking 'weeks'
are Saturday 16.00 to Saturday 10.00. We ask that guests leave
the accommodation before 10.00, and new guests arrive after
16.00. This allows time for our Cleaners to ensure a fresh
start for new guests.
