Located in the village of Montady just
outside the lively town of Beziers in the Languedoc Roussillon region
of southwest France.
The Beziers Region is sheltered from the windier areas more affected
by the Tremontane and the Mistral.
This charming three bedroomed villa has been lovingly equipped and
furnished to a high standard for your comfort, with plenty of attention
to detail including anti-allergy bedding and thick fluffy towels. |

The three good-sized
bedrooms are laid out as one double and two twins suitable for adults
or children.
There is a fully tiled bathroom
including bath, a shower, washing machine and a separate toilet.

The attractive garden and patio is well equipped with garden
furniture, sun-loungers and a BBQ. There is also a full
set of golf clubs in the garage - you are quite welcome
to use these during your stay.
The villa is also well equipped for infants. There are also
two adult bicycles, one fitted with panier, for collecting
your baguettes from the local Boulangerie the French way.
Take a leisurely ride in the shade of the trees along the
tow path of the Canal du Midi.

The old part of Montady village is built on a hillside topped by a
romantic ruined tower. From beside this tower there is a panoramic
view of the area including the Etang. A shallow lake drained in the
11th Century, and divided into pie shaped wedges of land for agriculture
with a complex arrangement of drainage channels (photo right).
The famous Canal du Midi meanders by only a mile from the villa. This
is an excellent place to take a shady stroll or a picnic under the
plain trees, watching the boats pass between its languid curving banks.

There is a large selection of shops in Beziers (also plenty of pavements
cafes and restaurants - photo right).
For groceries, there is an Aldi supermarket with astonishingly low
prices in the village, together with a smaller Spar shop, a couple
of bakeries, a florists, a clothes shop, 2 hairdressers, a restaurant
and a bar. There is a larger supermarket in nearby Capestang, and
several large Hypermarkets in Beziers. Most towns and villages also
have a weekly market.

The diverse scenery of the area includes
mountains, gorges, cave grottos, lakes, beaches, marinas,
vineyards, Roman remains, and the spa town of Lamalou les
bains all within easy reach. The beautiful Mediterranean
garden at Roquebrun, (open to the public) is famous for
being able to grow a diverse selection of plants due to
the micro-climate of the limestone hillside on which it
is situated. It also enjoys fantastic views of the river
Orb flowing through the village below. The Lac du Salagou
is a large freshwater lake, which is used for swimming and
water sports.

| The county
of Herault has more than sixty miles of beaches. The nearest
beach resort is Valras Plage 20 minutes away
by car with a long sandy beach and lots of restaurants.
There are also plenty of other coastal attractions nearby
i.e. Agde, Sete, Cap d'Agde with its water
park, Marseillan, Portiragnes Plage, Narbonne
etc.

If you prefer to fly rather than drive, the nearest airport is Montpellier,
at about an hour's drive, with Carcassone at a similar distance, both
serviced by Ryanair, and Montpellier also by British Airways.
Other convenient airports include Perpignan (Ryanair, Flybe), Nimes
(Ryanair), and Toulouse (British Airways, Easyjet, Flybe).

Alternatively Avignon is about 90 minutes away and has a
direct TGV train service (Eurostar) to Ashford, Kent (5
and a half hours) or Waterloo. It is possible to continue
to Beziers by train, changing at Avignon.

| Booking 'weeks'
are normally Saturday 16.00 to Saturday 10.00. We ask that
guests leave the accommodation before 10.00, and new guests
arrive after 16.00. This allows time for our Cleaners to ensure
a fresh start for new guests.

flexible changeover dates to help reduce the price of your

25% deposit is required to secure a booking, with the remainder
paid no less than 28 days prior to departure.
A security deposit cheque of £100 will also be required,
which will not be cashed unless a portion of it is required
to repair/replace any breakages or damage. (Deposit non-refundable
if cancelled within 4 weeks of due occupancy). Once availability
is confirmed, receipt of your written confirmation together
with your deposit cheque will secure your booking.
