La Basse Rouerie is a traditional Breton
farmhouse and Longere situated on the Brittany, Normandy border. It
has two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating
farmland.
The Longere has been converted into 4 Gites that can accommodate 2,
4, 6 and 8 people respectivley. The Gites have been restored to provide
modern conveniences whilst retaining all the charm of a typical French
farmhouse keeping lots of the original features, like granite walls
and exposed oak beams.

Apple Tree Cottage: (sleeps
2)
The ground floor consists of a lounge (photo right) with granite
walls and exposed oak beams and a large granite fireplace with a
wood burner.
The separate kitchen has vaulted ceilings and patio doors that lead
to a private patio area.
On the 1st floor there is a large open plan double bedroom with
granite walls and exposed oak beams and en-suite shower room.

Plum Tree Cottage: (sleeps 4)
The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining
area (photo below left) with a wood burner, some granite walls
and exposed oak beams and a door leading to a covered veranda.
The 1st floor has a shower room and 2 bedrooms, a double room
and a room with bunk beds both with granite walls and exposed
oak beams |

Cherry Tree Cottage: (sleeps 6)
The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining
area (photo below right) with a wood burner, and exposed oak
beams. The 1st floor has a shower room and 3 bedrooms, 2 double
rooms and a room with bunk beds all have granite walls and exposed
oak beams. There is a separate patio at the side of the Gite.

Pear Tree Cottage: (sleeps 8)
The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining
area with a wood burner, some granite walls and exposed oak
beams plus double doors that open onto a covered veranda.
The 1st floor has a shower room and 4 bedrooms, 2 double rooms
one with an en-suite, a twin - bedded room and 1 room with bunk
beds. |

Furnishings
All the cottages are comfortably furnished and also include
a microwave, fridge, washing machine, CTV, DVD player and hi
fi.
All the bedrooms (some are shown here) and shower rooms have
heating for the cooler months.

La Basse Rouerie has two and a half acres of
gardens with open views over undulating farmland. It is situated
on the Brittany, Normandy border in France so you can explore
both areas. A perfect place for all the family to unwind, either
by the pool or under a tree with a good book and a glass of
wine.
Although La Basse Rouerie is in a quiet
location it is only a few minutes from Mellé which has
a bar-tabac-restaurant-store and only 5 mins to Louvigne du
Desert with its shops and restaurants. |

La Basse Rouerie is located in a small village called Mellé,
which is situated on the Brittany/ Normandy borders. Here you can
spend days on the magnificent beaches known as the Emerald coast,
visit walled towns or just walk through the lovely countryside, something
for everyone.
Mellé is about an hours drive from the port of St Malo, this
is also an excellent place to visit, with a walled town and miles
of sandy beaches. Also within an hours drive you have Mont Saint Michel
(photo right), the 2nd most visited place in France after the Eiffel
Tower.

The large towns of Rennes, Dinan and Domfront are also worth a visit.
Half an hour's drive will take you to the walled town of Fougeres
with its château (photo right), St Hilaire a lively market town
and Mortain known for its water falls.
Mellé is also only 10 mins away from the American War Cemetery
at St. James.

| Rental weeks
are from 1600 Saturday to 1000 Saturday. We hope that guests
will leave the gite in a clean and tidy state but a clean
up is available at an extra 50 €, payable on site.
Included in the price:
- Bedding and towels
- Electric and gas
- A Welcome pack
The welcome pack includes essentials such as tea, coffee,
milk, bread, butter and homemade jam plus of course a bottle
of wine.

Bedding and towels:
we supply these so you don't have to carry bulky items with
you. (Not pool or beach towels).
Cots are available on request

| A
£150 security deposit is required per Gite, this will
be refunded after you leave providing the Gite has been left
clean and there are no breakages.
If the Gite needs cleaning then £50 will be deducted
to cover the cleaning costs.
A £100 (145€) deposit is required to secure your
booking. The booking form and payment details will be emailed
to you on request. Along with other info on the area, routes,
maps and days out for the family.
The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival along with the £150
security deposit.

The heating (if required) is on a
timer with 2 hours in the morning and in the evening and
this is included in the price, additional heating is charged
at cost.
A basket of wood will be included in the price in cooler
months, extra wood is available @ 8€ a basket.
